As far as ambitions go, I want to win. That is the only goal I have. If I can win, that means more opportunity, that means more money, that means I am better. I want to make Valorant more than just a hobby. For a temporary goal, I want to make 10K in individual PRIZE earnings within the next year. I am not sure how realistic that is, but I am willing to try my hardest to make that happen.
My name is Tyler Kim. I am 18 years old and I live in Los Angeles. I have always loved to play video games and I first got started in an RTS game called Starcraft 2 when I was 13 years old. Although I didn't play it very seriously, I managed to achieve Grand Master in about a year. If you have not seen what professional Starcraft 2 looks like, watch a first person view of a match. With my background in a strategy game, I find that I am more of a cerebral player and enjoy out smarting my opponents rather than spray and pray. I have around 1.5K hours on CSGO, and the highest level I have played was around B+ on ESEA on a friend's account a couple of years ago. I have put in roughly 1k hours into Valorant and I sit in the Immortal elo.
I believe that I deserve a higher rank. Now, you are probably rolling your eyes thinking "great, another kid who thinks he is Radiant." Well, I would like to think that I am different, however it is up to you to decide.
I mainly play Breach. I am an aggressive entry fragger. I have mainly (90% ish) solo qued to where my skill level is with Breach only, I did however play Sage a lot in the beta. Since I play Breach in solo que, I think that my rank may be a little deflated as I have to use a lot of communication that is not always present in a PUG. I have taken a lot of my style from the pro CSGO team Furia with Art as a player to be specific. I believe that controlled aggression to gain key points in a map early in a round is essential for cutting off rotates and limiting the information given to the other team. With the recent Valorant patch 1.11, in which both cypher and killjoy has gotten nerfed, I believe that Breach and aggressive playstyles have an even greater ability to find success more than ever before.
As for my mechanics, I have practiced in Kovaak's for the past couple of months and I am comfortably placing within the top 15% of each challenge in Aimer7's Intermediate playlist. If you require clips regarding my aim, please reach out to me. I will not prepare a montage beforehand as I feel like showing only the best clips can be misleading. For example, if you request a sample of my aim, within a specified time constraint, I will record myself either playing deathmatch or competitive and will either condense it or give the entire footage AFTER it has been requested to show authenticity.
I hope that you will consider me to be a part of your team.
