My name is Matthew Wilkes and I am the Esports Coach at Lander University located in Greenwood, South Carolina. We are a growing program on the verge of greatness and we are
looking to find that extra push forward. Someone who can help us establish a legacy here on campus.
What’s so special about Lander University?
Lander University is one of the top public universities in the state and boasts national recognition. Thanks to the Experience Your Education program at Lander University, our students have a
variety of internship and career preparation opportunities available to them that they can balance with their coursework. Through these programs, our graduates get the advantage of being
more marketable, experienced, and qualified for the workplace. We offer a wide variety of undergraduate, graduate, and pre-professional programs and we do so in a setting that caters
to the success of each student. This along with our other academic programs is only a couple of reasons why we have experienced four straight years of record enrollment and retention rates.
Lander University offers small classroom sizes where professors know you by name and provide personal attention, affordable tuition, and a range of undergraduate degrees to choose from.
This means that Lander University is a desirable place of study regardless of being a student-athlete.
We have also just announced for the sixth straight year that our tuition is frozen.
Our players enjoy first-class facilities and support from our University as we our considered a varsity club sport housed under our athletic department. Lander University takes the
student-athlete experience very seriously by providing apparel, equipment, travel arrangements, uniform items, and the largest operating budget for Esports in the Peach Belt Conference.
The University also provides a gaming facility for the Esports team to practice and enjoy in their free time.
What makes Lander University different is the fact some of our Esport teams compete within the Peach Belt Conference, which houses only 20 teams compared to other conferences which
usually house around 60 - 70+ teams. This allows Lander University to bypass a significant number of teams and go directly into the “play-in” stage for nationals. Besides being great academically,
our #1 goal is to be the best Esports team in the Southeast and win championships!
This team is no longer recruiting new players. You can either wait until their next recruitment campaign, or become premium to apply in their waiting list. This way, they'll be notified that you're interesting in joining them.
