description

Hi everyone name's Romp_N_Stomp and I love to raid in Destiny. Working together with a team to overcome the challenges is what online gaming is all about to me. I think it's Destiny's best activity and I can't wait to share that with you.

About Me:

I have played since year one and have cleared and flawlessed every raid including Garden of Salvation and I have all three classes leveled up and all of them at or near 1060 power. I have nearly 900 raid clears in D2 across all characters and plan to have 100 clears of every raid before the season is over. Right now, my Warlock is my main and I love the Trinity Ghoul. I am an active Sherpa in my clan, who has lead many large Sherpa events here on reddit.

Raids and Requirements: I am comfortable sherpaing any raid. I am available most evening after 7PM EST. I typically run with my clan at the beginning of the reset week with the end of the week being more open for sherpaing and helping others.

Communication: Honest, clear communication is key! Therefore you must have a mic and you must use it! It's frustrating for everyone if I explain a fight, ask if there are any questions and then wipe because someone wasn't sure of a mechanic. I expect all my Sherpees to ask questions, lots of questions, until they understand all the mechanics. I don't care how many times I have to explain something. I want us to all be on the same page before we pull the boss. Everyone in a Sherpa is there to learn so take full advantage and ask away! This also applies after a wipe. This is huge. If it's your fault we wiped, no problem! But it's extremely important to say so. Not so we can bash you for being a silly noob, but so that I can offer constructive feedback and we can identify what went wrong and tweak it. I will always let my team know if I screwed up so we're all on the same page. Again there is nothing wrong with messing up! We're all learning! What IS wrong is messing up and not saying you did. That slows the whole raid down. It'll sound like this:

"Alright so what happened there?"
"That was me guys - jumped on my platform too early."
"No sweat, make sure to wait for the flash of light, then jump. Cool? Cool. Let's try again! Woo!"
Gear and Light Level: All activities have recommended light levels. While I don’t stick to these too strictly (Often the recommended level is higher than what you need to complete it) I’ll let you know if you are too low before taking you in. The current raid now is Garden of Salvation and we’re looking for a 931+ PL. I’ll make exceptions here and there but we want you to survive and do enough damage.

Understanding you Class: I remember taking a friend into a PUG group. I vouched for him saying he was good player and that he catches on quickly to all mechanics and knows his class very well. The leader asked him to use Weapons of Light and he responded with “What’s that?” Ouch! Everyone should know their class well and know how to adjust perks, supers and other things to help you conquer the fight! I'm not saying be a master, just know what Weapons of Light is if you are a Titan!

Respect: For me as the Sherpa, for others as sherpees. All that means is that when I’m trying to explain something, don’t talk over me or tell me that strategy is stupid or anything like that. It also means not berating your fellow fireteam members for screwing up. If we are all there to learn, we will ALL mess up, me too, so everyone needs to be off high horses and encourage one another instead of tearing each other down.

I look forward to helping an many people as I can conquer Destiny's best activity!
